Integration of third-party services and content

It can happen that content from third parties, such as YouTube videos, Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites get integrated within this online offer. This always assumes that the providers of this content (following referred to as “third-party providers”) perceive the IP address of the users. Without the IP address, these providers could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We strive to only use content whose respective providers use the IP address solely to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on the third-party providers who store the IP address, e.g., for statistical purposes. As far as this is known to us, we inform the users about it or anonymize the IP as far as it is technically possible for us.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that enable this website to store specific, user-related information on the visitor’s computer while our website is being visited. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website, as well as to make our offers convenient and efficient for you. A use of our offers is also possible without cookies. You can deactivate the storage of cookies in your browser or restrict it to certain websites or set your web browser (Chrome, IE, Firefox,…) so that it notifies you as soon as a cookie is sent. You can also delete cookies from your PC’s hard drive at any time. Please note, however, that in this case you will have to reckon with a limited display of the page and limited user guidance.

Privacy Policy for our Smartphone App

Our app (SC LIVE) accesses your location information even if the app is closed or not in use. We do this to make use of small Bluetooth transmitters (called iBeacons) to draw your attention to places of interest near you. The app can also send you notifications based on your whereabouts. Your current whereabouts are shown on maps to give you a better overview. Ultimately, we save this data so that we don’t always make the same suggestions.

Privacy is important to us. We do not save any personal data and use location-related data very sparingly. We do not pass this data on to third parties under any circumstances.

The app asks you if you want to grant this permission. If you deny this authorization, you can still use many of the app’s functions. All in all, granting this authorization helps you to have a better user experience and more relevant tips. Thanks.

Which other data does the app save:

  • The use of individual location markers (QR code, NFC tag or iBeacon) at individual locations and their frequency.
  • Answers to the puzzles, but without data from the person who entered them.
  • Data on the delivery of the content in order to be able to measure its quality.
Due to its content and since we do not store any personal data in the app or in the app backend, the app is safe and also suitable for a young audience.

Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to control and promptly remedy any errors that might occur in our app.
Should the app crash, certain information on the crash such as time of the crash, device type, operating system and other technical data (including installation UUID and crash traces) of your mobile device will be sent to Crashlytics. These crash reports do not include the IP address or personally identifiable information.
The lawfulness of processing is the legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest pursued is being able to continuously improve the app to offer you an error-free and functional application.
For more information on Firebase Crashlytics, specifically the processing period, please refer to the Privacy Statement of Google Firebase: Data Processing and Security Term.
